Surface process
for the automotive industry

From precision parts to complex assemblies, our chemical and electrochemical processes ensure the highest surface quality, durability and reliability in automotive manufacturing.

Industry-specific
requisitions

With a share of over 50%, steel remains the most important material in the automotive industry. At the same time, lightweight materials such as aluminum, magnesium and fiber-reinforced plastics are becoming increasingly important in order to reduce weight, consumption and emissions. Hydraulic components have spangles and burrs during production, which can cause serious faults or even total failures in safety-relevant systems such as ABS or ESP. Careful, contact-free deburring is therefore essential. In high-pressure systems such as common rail, material strength and flow effects are decisive. Microcracks and fine burrs on injection pressure lines must be completely removed to ensure functionality and safety. In addition, optical criteria also play an important role when it comes to visible components such as decorative strips or roof rails. Electropolishing contributes to the perfect surface here.

Our solutions for the automotive industry

Deburring and polishing of components
Chemical deburring avoids mechanical stress and the effects of heat that occur during conventional processes such as grinding or honing. Even hard-to-reach areas are treated effectively. The result: lower roughness, fewer surface defects and significantly improved fatigue strength of the components.

Surface finishing
Electropolishing optimizes gloss, roughness, cleaning and corrosion behavior and ensures that the functionality of the workpieces is fully effective.

Part Passivation and Functional/Decorative Coloration
Titanium components achieve maximum passivity through anodization, while color coding makes identification and organization easier.

Protective Oxide Layer Thickening
Under favourable conditions, chrome and chromium-nickel steel form a self-protective oxide layer. However, if the environment is aggressive, our passivation process supports the rapid formation of this important protective layer.
