From surgical instruments to high-precision implants, our chemical and electrochemical processes ensure maximum purity, biocompatibility and safety for use in medical technology.

Medical technology places the highest demands on metal surfaces. Medical instruments must be wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant and autoclavable. Implants also focus on sterility, maximum passivity of the surface and a precisely defined surface structure. This is the only way to ensure safety, biocompatibility and long-term functionality.
Achieving the desired surface properties
Electropolishing allows key properties such as passivity, roughness and sterility to be precisely controlled. The result is smooth, clean surfaces with minimal bacterial adhesion and optimal biocompatibility.
Coloring, marking and oxide layer strengthening
Color anodizing enables permanent, functional color coding of medical titanium parts — to clearly identify and reduce risks of confusion in the operating environment.
At grey anodizing The natural oxide layer is specifically reinforced to 1—2 µm. This layer improves the ingrowth behavior of implants, increases abrasion resistance and enables active substances to be stored directly in the surface.
Surface-protecting passive layer
In the case of chrome and chromium-nickel steels, the protective passive layer only slowly forms under normal conditions. Through targeted passivation, it is produced directly and completely — for long-lasting corrosion protection and sterile surfaces.
